Housing Officer – Part‑Time (Bristol, South Gloucestershire & North Somerset)

About the role
As a Housing Officer at Curo you will be the first point of contact for residents across a patch covering Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. The role combines field‑based housing management, resident engagement and casework to ensure tenancies thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a patch of 450–650 customers, building relationships and keeping tenancies on track.
- Conduct tenancy audits, sign‑ups, viewings, mutual exchanges and fixed‑term renewals.
- Identify and address tenancy breaches early, balancing accountability with tenancy sustainability.
- Perform regular estate inspections, monitor communal service standards and hold contractors to account.
- Recognise safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals in partnership with statutory agencies.
- Lead resident engagement and community‑development activities.
- Handle cases involving harassment, hate incidents or tenancy fraud with specialist support.
- Signpost residents to external services for money, employment, training and wellbeing.
Required profile
- Confident housing professional who enjoys community‑based work and can manage their own time.
- Proven ability to have difficult conversations while maintaining relationships.
- Experience in housing management, social housing or a comparable customer‑facing service role.
- Working knowledge of housing law and good practice, including handling tenancy breaches.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
- Optional but advantageous: CIH or similar qualification, experience supporting vulnerable customers, knowledge of safeguarding principles.

- Salary £33,475 pro‑rated per annum.
- 26 days annual leave (rising to 29 days after 3 years) plus bank holidays.

- Hybrid working with regular time on patch and at the office.
