Housing Officer – Residential Property Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join a reputable housing organisation in East London. The role focuses on managing residential properties, supporting tenants, and enhancing community outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a patch of residential properties and act as the primary contact for residents.
• Deliver tenancy management tasks including sign‑ups, successions, assignments and handling breaches.
• Investigate and resolve anti‑social behaviour (ASB) cases.
• Conduct estate inspections and ensure communal areas are well maintained.
• Oversee void properties and support the onboarding of new tenants.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to improve resident satisfaction.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Housing Officer within a Housing Association or Local Authority.
• Strong knowledge of housing management, tenancy law and ASB case management.
• Passion for the local community.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (desired) and full UK driving licence (desired).
