Housing Officer – Specialized Supported Housing

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join our specialised supported housing team. You will act as the primary contact for tenants, delivering both general and intensive housing management services across the DL4 area and occasional travel to South Yorkshire.

Key responsibilities

• Provide housing management services for vulnerable tenants, from tenancy sign‑ups to breach resolution.
• Engage with tenants to address tenancy‑related concerns and ensure compliance.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, external support providers, and local authorities.
• Deliver tailored customer service that meets individual tenant needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners to achieve shared objectives.
• Support anti‑social behaviour procedures and related interventions.
• Travel to properties on an ad‑hoc basis and attend monthly meetings at the Tankersley office.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with the Regulator of Social Housing Economic Standards.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent, customer‑focused service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Independent and collaborative work style with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Reliable vehicle with business insurance for work‑related travel.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 CIH qualification in Housing Practice.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

What we offer

• Salary of approximately £28,000 pro‑rata per annum.
• Flexible working pattern – 24 hours per week across at least three days, Monday‑Friday.
• Remote desk‑based role with occasional travel.
