Housing Trainer – Maternity Cover (Full‑time)

About the role

Gower College Swansea is seeking a Housing Trainer on a maternity‑cover basis to deliver high‑quality training and assessment for learners in the housing sector. This full‑time, fixed‑term position will involve planning and delivering a range of programmes, including work‑based learning, CIH qualifications, NVQs and bespoke courses.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess training across multiple housing‑related courses, ensuring compliance with syllabus content and awarding body standards.
• Teach, assess and monitor learner progress, set targets, and maintain accurate records of work and achievement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry customers, securing contracts with existing and new organisations.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant sector.
• TAQA assessor award or willingness to work towards it.
• Commercial knowledge and experience of the housing industry, including training needs.
• Occupational competence to assess Level 1‑3 qualifications or equivalent.
