HR Advisor

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing London‑based business for an experienced HR Advisor. This generalist position will give you exposure to the full spectrum of people matters, from employee relations to recruitment support, within a fast‑paced environment where HR has a strategic seat at the table.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice on performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance issues.
• Coach and support line managers through HR processes, ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
• Manage employee‑relations cases end‑to‑end, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Assist the recruitment cycle, including job description drafting, interview coordination and offer management.
• Develop, review and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Contribute to HR projects such as engagement surveys, wellbeing programmes and learning initiatives.
• Maintain HR data, produce reports and management information as required.
• Stay up‑to‑date with employment legislation and advise the business accordingly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience handling disciplinary and grievance cases.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage a varied workload.
• Pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach to HR.
• Based in London or able to commute regularly.
