HR & Compliance Trainee Internship

About the role

We are seeking a motivated HR & Compliance Trainee to support our Human Resources and Compliance team within a recruitment and staffing environment. This internship offers hands‑on experience in HR operations, recruitment compliance, and UK employment regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining employee and candidate records in HR systems and support onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Help schedule interviews, coordinate recruitment activities, and maintain HR documentation.
• Conduct Right‑to‑Work checks, document verification, and support background and reference checks.
• Update HR databases, prepare reports, compliance trackers, and assist in policy documentation.
• Support audit preparation and internal compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Strong organisational, administrative and detail‑oriented skills with ability to manage confidential information.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
