HR Manager – Lead Operational HR

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the day‑to‑day HR function for a well‑regarded professional services organisation in London. The role combines strategic influence with hands‑on operational leadership across the full employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily HR operations and drive continuous improvement of HR systems and reporting.
• Manage complex employee‑relations issues and provide commercially balanced advice.
• Collaborate with Finance on payroll governance and ensure compliance.
• Challenge senior stakeholders and align people decisions with business performance and risk.
• Develop and mentor the HR team to enhance capability.

Required profile

• Strong operational HR leadership experience across the employee lifecycle.
• Proven track record of improving HR operations, systems and reporting.
• Experience handling complex employee‑relations matters.
• Confidence advising and constructively challenging senior leaders.
• Commercial awareness and ability to link HR to business outcomes.
• Background in professional services or a knowledge‑based business is desirable.
