HR Manager – Site Based (Doncaster)

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to lead the human resources function for a manufacturing site in Doncaster. You will report to the Head of HR in Manchester and be responsible for all HR activities for roughly 120 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all employee‑relations casework on‑site.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the trade union.
• Coach, guide and up‑skill managers and leaders.
• Drive employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
• Provide monthly KPIs on absenteeism, turnover and communications for executive and board meetings.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
• Arrange and facilitate drug and alcohol screening in line with company policy.
• Work closely with Health & Safety and Occupational Health to implement corrective actions and reduce workplace accidents.
• Manage absence, conduct welfare meetings and coordinate occupational health support.

Required profile

• Proven HR experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment law and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage union relationships.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations and training programmes.
