HR Operations Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an HR Operations Business Partner to join our People Team in Central London. Working 3‑4 days a week on‑site, you will support roughly 300 employees in a fast‑moving food and beverage manufacturing business, delivering both strategic and operational HR services.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers to provide expert HR guidance on people matters.
• Manage employee‑relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, flexible‑working and workplace concerns.
• Coach leaders to improve people‑management capability and promote best practice.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle – recruitment, onboarding, performance management and off‑boarding.
• Review, develop and communicate HR policies in line with legislation and business needs.
• Identify learning needs and coordinate training initiatives.
• Monitor HR metrics, produce reports and support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure GDPR compliance.
• Support HR projects and wider People Team initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven HR Business Partner experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and coaching abilities.
• Highly organised, emotionally intelligent and able to handle complex employee‑relations matters with discretion.
• Experience of TUPE transfers or involvement in M&A processes is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Familiarity with HR policy development and implementation.
• Understanding of GDPR requirements for employee data.
