HR Operations Specialist

About the role

We are partnering with an international not‑for‑profit organisation to find an experienced HR Operations Specialist on a fixed‑term basis. The role is based in London with hybrid working and offers the chance to own HR operations across the employee lifecycle for a global workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for employee and manager queries, delivering high‑quality HR service.
• Manage non‑complex employee relations matters and support HR Business Partners on escalated cases.
• Develop, review and implement HR policies, translating them into practical processes and workflows.
• Provide HR support for US‑based employees, ensuring compliance with US employment legislation.
• Oversee end‑to‑end HR operations including onboarding, benefits administration, lifecycle activities and off‑boarding.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Leverage HRIS systems to automate workflows, improve data integrity and enhance service delivery.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance and wider People teams to ensure seamless operational support.
• Create communications and training materials to support adoption of new processes and policies.

Required profile

• Proven HR Operations experience in a global or international organisation.
• Strong experience supporting US‑based employees and solid understanding of US employment practices, benefits and compliance.
• Experience developing HR policies, procedures and operational frameworks.
• Track record of driving process improvements and implementing best‑practice HR operations.
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to produce clear documentation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with HiBob.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract until 31 December 2026.
• Hybrid working arrangement.
• Salary up to £80,000 per annum (pro rata).
