Humanities Teacher – Flexible Supply Role

About the role

We are looking for experienced Humanities teachers to provide supply cover across secondary schools in the Redhill/Horley area. This flexible, on‑site role allows you to focus on delivering engaging lessons without planning or marking responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality Humanities lessons (History, Geography, RE, Social Sciences) to Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse student needs and school contexts.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth handover and continuity.

Required profile

• Proven classroom experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to engage students.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Professional, reliable, and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Effective classroom management.
• Clear communication of subject content.
• Ability to adapt lessons quickly for different school settings.
