About the role
We are seeking a passionate Humanities Teacher to join a well‑regarded mixed secondary academy in Stratford, East London. You will deliver engaging History and Geography lessons to students aged 11‑16, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality History and Geography lessons.
- Encourage analytical, evaluative and investigative skills in students.
- Monitor and support individual student progress.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the Humanities curriculum.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in History or Geography.
- Experience teaching in a secondary education setting.
- Ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners.

- Competitive salary paid to scale (GBP 40,317 – 62,496 per year).
- 13‑week temporary contract with the prospect of permanent employment.
- Full‑time hours 08:20 – 16:00, early finish on Fridays.
