Hygiene Operative - Potato Packing Site

About the role

Albert Bartlett, a British family brand founded in 1948 and focused on quality potatoes, is recruiting Hygiene Operatives for its fresh potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire. You will work across the factory packhouse, carrying out hygiene duties from cleaning the site canteen facilities to cleaning down packing machinery, production lines and white walling.

The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, working 6am to 6pm, at a salary of £12.79 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production areas, machinery and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
• Use cleaning tools safely and follow company procedures and safety guidelines
• Document cleaning activities and keep accurate records of hygiene compliance checks
• Identify and report maintenance needs or safety hazards
• Collaborate with the production team to support an efficient and hygienic working environment
• Follow company policies and legal regulations on health, safety and environmental standards

Required profile

• Experience in a hygiene or cleaning role, preferably in the food industry
• Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to cleaning operations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict cleaning protocols
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Physical ability to lift and stand for prolonged periods
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and standards
