Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end source‑to‑pay process for a diverse portfolio of indirect spend, supporting over £10 million of annual spend. Reporting to the Group Indirect Procurement Manager, the role works remotely across the UK and collaborates with Finance, HR, IT, Legal and other stakeholders to deliver cost‑effective, compliant sourcing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for professional services, IT, facilities, marketing, logistics and corporate services.
• Lead RFQs/RFPs, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
• Identify and deliver cost savings, value improvements and risk mitigation.
• Maintain preferred supplier lists and monitor contract compliance.
• Support supplier onboarding, performance reviews and rationalisation.
• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with policy and authority levels.
• Analyse spend data, track savings and report procurement performance.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to shape demand and ensure commercial outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in indirect procurement, including sourcing, negotiation and contract management.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of measurable savings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience managing spend of at least several million pounds.

Required skills

• CIPS qualification (or working towards it) – nice to have.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or structured problem‑solving methodologies.
• Awareness of sustainability, ESG or responsible sourcing initiatives.
