Indirect Tax Manager

About the role

As an Indirect Tax Manager in the retail industry, based near Warrington, you’ll oversee all aspects of indirect tax compliance and planning, ensuring smooth handling of tax processes to support the business effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Manage indirect tax compliance processes, including VAT returns and other filings.
• Provide advice on tax implications for business operations and transactions.
• Handle tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
• Support the business with strategic tax planning and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with changing tax regulations and legislation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise tax efficiencies.
• Identify and implement process improvements in tax reporting.
• Provide training and guidance to teams on indirect tax matters.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of indirect tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• UK and EU VAT experience.
• Experience in managing tax processes within the retail industry is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using tax software and systems.
