In‑House Maintenance Electrician – Basingstoke

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our in‑house team, servicing residential properties across Winchester and Basingstoke. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality electrical repairs, testing, and refurbishments while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on single‑ and three‑phase systems, including electric showers and immersion elements.
• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
• Issue Electrical Installation / Minor Works certificates and ensure work complies with BS 7671 (Part P) regulations.
• Log jobs digitally via mobile/PDA and maintain accurate van stock.
• Participate in an out‑of‑hours emergency rota and report urgent health‑and‑safety defects to the Qualifying Supervisor.

Required profile

• Qualified to C&G 2330 (or equivalent) and C&G 2382 (18th Edition).
• Full UK driver’s licence.
• Proven experience in domestic fault‑finding, repairs and customer‑facing service.
• Willingness to join an emergency out‑of‑hours rota.
• Comfortable using smartphone/PDA applications for daily workflows.

Required skills

• C&G 2330 certification.
• C&G 2382 (18th Edition) certification.
• Inspection & Testing certification (C&G 2391 or 2394/2395) – desirable.
• EICR testing.
• PAT testing.
• Electrical fault finding on single‑ and three‑phase circuits.
