Insurance Advisor (Consumer & Local Commercial)

About the role

Howden, a global insurance group, is looking for an Insurance Consultant to join its Consumer & Local Commercial team in Winchester. The team has grown rapidly over 14 years and now has over 200 people across the UK. You will build rapport with new and existing clients ranging from sole traders to the MD/CEO of a large organisation, working closely with the Branch Manager to achieve objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build rapport with new and existing clients and work with the Branch Manager to meet objectives
• Develop business through marketing, community engagement, networking and client meetings
• Identify and explore new business opportunities to deliver the best outcome for clients
• Understand client requirements and advise on products and solutions, looking for a path to agreement

Required profile

• Experience winning new business and building long-lasting relationships with B2B clients
• Passion for developing business through marketing, networking and client meetings
• Tenacity, business curiosity and willingness to learn
• Consultative approach, effective questioning and active listening
