About the role
A client in the professional services sector is seeking an Interim Chief Marketing Officer to lead the marketing function through a critical transformation period. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will rapidly assess current performance, reposition the brand, and drive high‑impact commercial activities to support a shift toward higher‑growth propositions.
Key responsibilities
- Reposition the brand and messaging to align with the organisation’s evolving strategic focus.
- Evaluate current marketing activity and prioritise initiatives that deliver the greatest commercial value.
- Lead and develop the marketing team, providing clear direction and stability during change.
- Strengthen B2B demand generation, driving measurable pipeline growth in partnership with sales.
- Improve conversion across the customer and learner acquisition funnel through a digital‑first approach.
- Develop compelling employer‑facing narratives, including case studies, ROI evidence, and impact storytelling.
- Enhance product marketing to clearly differentiate offerings in a competitive market.
- Build strong alignment with commercial leadership, ensuring marketing accountability to revenue outcomes.
- Provide an honest assessment of team capability, structure, and performance, identifying improvement areas.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading a marketing function within B2B services, consulting, advisory or professional services.
- Strong commercial orientation with experience against pipeline, conversion and revenue metrics.
- Ability to rapidly assess performance and take decisive action in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience marketing complex, intangible propositions to senior enterprise stakeholders.
- Credibility operating as a peer to senior sales and commercial leaders.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams through transition.
- Highly independent with sound judgement and proactive communication style.
- Experience in high‑growth or transformation environments is advantageous.
- Experience operating in B2B2C models is a plus.

What we offer
- Start date: ASAP.
- Interim duration with day‑rate of £650–£750 (equivalent to ~£130,000 per annum).
- Fully remote work arrangement.
