Interim Financial Controller – Private Equity Law Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to take charge of the finance function for a fast‑growing, private‑equity‑backed regional law firm. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will act as a strategic partner to the executive team while managing day‑to‑day financial operations on an interim basis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, audit coordination and group consolidation.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, work‑in‑progress (WIP) valuation and revenue recognition.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis to support decision‑making.
• Support financial due diligence and lead integration of acquired businesses.
• Develop and scale the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with significant post‑qualification experience.
• Background in professional or business services, preferably the legal sector.
• Experience in private‑equity environments and M&A activity is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership with a hands‑on approach to managing priorities.
