Interim Head of Reporting & SOX Controls

About the role

This interim position reports to the Group Finance leadership team and is responsible for owning the financial reporting function while ensuring SOX compliance across a global industrial software business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and delivery of group financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Maintain and strengthen the SOX control environment, identifying and remediating control weaknesses.
• Collaborate closely with internal audit, external auditors and senior business stakeholders.
• Drive the reporting and controls agenda throughout a 9‑12 month transformation programme.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with proven experience in a SOX‑regulated environment, preferably within a listed or recently listed company.
• Comfortable operating at pace in complex, matrixed organisations.
• Ability to build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in technology, software or industrial sectors is an advantage.
