Interim HR Business Partner – 9‑month maternity cover

About the role

This interim position provides strategic and operational HR support for a leading PLC group during a nine‑month maternity cover. You will partner with business leaders and employees to deliver people solutions that keep the organisation high‑performing, engaged and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Offer expert HR advice on employee relations, disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Research, draft and coordinate responses to employee and industrial relations issues, involving external legal advisors when needed.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures and documentation.
• Deliver recruitment activities aligned with workforce plans and budgets.
• Support onboarding, family‑friendly policies and employee transitions across the employee lifecycle.
• Drive employee engagement, talent management, succession planning and performance management processes.
• Facilitate reward, recognition programmes and continuous improvement of HR processes.
• Promote diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing strategic and operational HR support in a business‑partnering capacity.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, talent acquisition, organisational development and change management.
• Ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Experience managing HR policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
