Interim Project Accountant – Hybrid, London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant on an interim basis to lead the financial integration of a newly acquired entity into an established group. This 2‑3 month hybrid role in London will involve managing due diligence, setting up finance systems, and ensuring compliance throughout the transition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance workstream for the integration of a newly acquired entity.
• Manage financial due diligence and oversee the integration process.
• Set up the new entity within the finance system, including establishing a new chart of accounts.
• Coordinate the transfer of bank accounts and other financial arrangements.
• Design and implement reporting for the new entity.
• Review VAT implications and ensure compliance throughout the transition.
• Work closely with operational stakeholders to ensure a seamless integration into the wider organisation.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting finance integration of an acquisition, merger or organisational restructure.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of a defined project from day one.
• Strong systems aptitude with experience implementing or configuring finance systems.
• Good understanding of VAT and financial controls.
• Experience within subscription‑based, membership or event‑led organisations is beneficial.
• Qualified, part‑qualified or qualified by experience (QBE) candidates will be considered.
