Interim Regulatory File Reviewer – Contract (London)

About the role

Grant Thornton’s Regulatory team is seeking an experienced Interim Regulatory File Reviewer to support short‑ to medium‑term projects for financial services clients, including insurers and regulators. You will work on a contractual basis, delivering high‑quality file reviews that ensure compliance with UK regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed regulatory file reviews for insurance and financial services firms.
• Assess case quality and identify gaps where customer outcomes fall short of expectations.
• Document findings clearly and consistently, providing actionable recommendations.
• Interpret and apply FCA Consumer Duty and other relevant regulatory guidance.
• Collaborate with client teams to support regulatory change initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience working within the insurance sector.
• Strong understanding of customer conduct requirements and the FCA Consumer Duty.
• Demonstrable experience conducting file reviews in a regulatory or compliance context.
• Solid grasp of the UK regulatory framework for financial services.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FCA Consumer Duty requirements.
• Familiarity with UK financial services regulatory guidance.
