Interim Revenue Accountant – 12 Month Fixed-Term

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Interim Revenue Accountant to join a finance team in Cambridge on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. The role will focus on revenue recognition, data reconciliation and supporting finance transformation initiatives while working closely with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly revenue recognition and deferred revenue processes.
• Reconcile large, complex datasets from multiple systems.
• Prepare revenue journals, balance‑sheet reconciliations and support month‑end close.
• Produce analysis and investigate financial variances.
• Partner with finance and wider business stakeholders.
• Contribute to finance transformation projects and process improvements.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Strong revenue accounting and recognition experience in a high‑volume transactional environment.
• Advanced Excel skills with ability to manipulate and reconcile large data sets.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication of financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Availability to support critical month‑end activities during the first five working days of each month.

What we offer

• Competitive salary between £70,000 and £80,000 per year.
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract with hybrid working (2 days onsite).
