Interim Senior Category Manager - Hard FM (Fire & Security)

About the role

This interim position leads a UK‑wide Fire & Security procurement programme for a public‑services client. Working primarily from home, you will visit the Hook office on a fortnightly basis and operate within standard Monday‑Friday office hours until December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end Fire & Security category programme across the client’s estate.
• Analyse existing supplier contracts, spend data and service delivery models to identify consolidation and cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Develop and implement category strategies for Fire & Security and related Hard FM categories.
• Run sourcing activities, negotiate with suppliers and manage tender processes.
• Negotiate and put in place framework agreements, Statements of Work and commercial schedules.
• Create standardised rate cards, pricing mechanisms and governance frameworks.
• Establish KPI and SLA structures to monitor supplier performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with operational stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, preferably within facilities management or security categories.
• Hands‑on ownership of the full procurement lifecycle from analysis to contract completion.
• Ability to work independently and deliver commercially robust agreements.
• Senior‑level expertise with a track record of managing complex, multi‑site programmes.
