About the role
The Sensitive and Complex Casework Team (SCCT) within the Professional Regulation Directorate handles some of the most serious and sensitive fitness‑to‑practice cases. As an Investigation Assistant you will provide essential administrative and casework support, ensuring cases progress efficiently through the early stages of the regulatory process.
Key responsibilities
- Assist paralegals and senior paralegals with enquiries and tasks to meet specified timescales.
- Maintain accurate case records and update information in case management systems.
- Process incoming correspondence and documentation, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
- Support preparation of case documentation and maintain clear audit trails.
- Deliver a professional, responsive service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of casework processes and procedures.
Required profile
- Experience in an administrative, casework or operational support role where accuracy and adherence to process are critical.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborative approach, able to work independently and as part of a team.
