IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join the internal IT team of a well‑established professional services business in South Manchester. You will provide first‑ and second‑line support to users, gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and develop your technical skills in a friendly, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st and 2nd line support via phone, email and face‑to‑face.
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions and passwords.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and Windows‑based issues.
• Support desktops, laptops, printers and telephony systems.
• Assist with system monitoring, backups and endpoint security.
• Set up IT equipment and onboard new starters.
• Work with third‑party suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware, software and IT assets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IT support or service‑desk environment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and a commitment to excellent customer service.
