IT Support Technician – Hybrid (Leeds)

About the role

The Information Technology Support Technician will join a busy, dynamic team in Leeds, providing day‑to‑day operational support for end‑user devices, peripherals and user access. Working under the Group IT and Security Manager, you will help keep the organisation’s IT environment secure, auditable and well‑governed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate laptops, mobile devices and peripherals, handling provisioning, replacement, refresh and decommissioning according to standards.
• Support endpoint configuration and maintenance through central management tools, escalating complex changes when needed.
• Execute joiner, mover and leaver processes, provisioning and removing user access in line with role‑based and least‑privilege principles.
• Perform regular access reviews and contribute audit evidence for ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• Assist with operational security hygiene on endpoints, including patching, encryption and compliance checks.
• Liaise daily with Xalient’s external IT support partner, raising, tracking and following up incidents and requests.
• Maintain desk and meeting‑room technology in the Leeds office, supporting printers, displays, docking stations and conferencing equipment.
• Document processes, device standards and operational practices, contributing to the internal knowledge base.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting end‑user IT environments.
• Familiarity with joiner‑mover‑leaver workflows and user access management.
• Understanding of security and audit requirements such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
