IT Support Technician

About the role

As an IT Support Technician at Navantia UK, you will ensure that technology runs smoothly for our business and our colleagues. You will be the first point of contact for everyday IT issues, providing prompt and reliable assistance while collaborating with the Technology and Security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first line of contact for IT queries via phone, email or ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network problems on desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Install, configure and maintain standard applications and operating systems.
• Escalate complex incidents to Level 2/3 support when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of support tickets and resolutions.
• Manage user accounts, including password resets and access permissions.
• Support onboarding of new employees by setting up devices and provisioning accounts.
• Follow IT policies, procedures and security best practices.

Required profile

• Recent experience providing IT support in a busy office environment.
• Proven ability to support PCs, laptops, printers and related peripherals.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Customer‑focused, approachable and able to work within agreed SLAs.
