IT Systems Administrator – Manchester (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to own and develop our internal IT function. As the first dedicated IT hire, you will help transition services from an external provider to a fully in‑house team while ensuring a secure, scalable environment for a fast‑growing digital consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day IT support, including user onboarding, off‑boarding and issue resolution.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid Active Directory environments.
• Manage patching, monitoring and remote support tools across Windows, Mac and mobile devices.
• Support Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001 security initiatives.
• Lead the migration of IT services from an external managed service provider to an internal function.

Required profile

• Strong experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Intune and identity & access management.
• Good understanding of Entra ID, Active Directory and networking fundamentals.
• Experience using patch management and remote monitoring (RMM) tools.
• Self‑motivated, security‑conscious and able to document processes clearly.
