IT Systems & Network Engineer

About the role

The role supports the day‑to‑day operation of the IT environment at the Carlisle site of an international manufacturing business. It combines hands‑on infrastructure work, user support and participation in technology refresh projects, working closely with local users and a global IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desktop, laptop and mobile device support for end users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, network, telephony and hardware issues.
• Maintain LAN connectivity and manage local technology infrastructure.
• Deploy, upgrade and refresh technology assets and projects.
• Support VoIP telephony and communication systems.
• Install operating systems, apply software updates and security patches.
• Maintain file, print and domain services and ensure documentation follows global IT standards.
• Participate in project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives, including occasional out‑of‑hours on‑call support.

• Enjoys working across infrastructure, networking and end‑user technology in a manufacturing environment.
