IT Technician – First Line Support (Croydon)

About the role

We are looking for an IT Technician to join our Croydon team. You will be the first point of contact for users needing technical assistance, handling a variety of hardware, software and account issues.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries via email, phone and helpdesk.
• Manage and update helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support user onboarding and off‑boarding, including account creation, device provisioning and access rights.
• Maintain the IT asset register for laptops, mobiles and software licences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, escalating where required.
• Prepare, configure and redeploy IT equipment.
• Monitor stock levels of hardware and request replacements as needed.
• Liaise with third‑party suppliers and service providers.
• Monitor mobile and data usage across devices.
• Carry out routine system checks, updates and virus scans.
• Provide on‑site support when required and assist with IT projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in a 1st‑line IT support or technician role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with user account management and device setup.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
