Java Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Java Software Engineer to join our growing ERP integrations team in Leeds. You will work on complex, high‑impact systems, bringing new ideas to the product roadmap and collaborating in a hands‑on, agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and upgrade Java‑based applications.
• Support and enhance C# satellite tools such as ERP connectors and SAP Business One add‑ons.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and sprint planning.
• Contribute to testing processes and future automation strategies.
• Work closely with the support team to resolve complex bugs and tickets.
• Maintain third‑party library dependencies (e.g., Jetty, Chilkat, nSoftware AS2).
• Use Azure DevOps for ticket management, coding, testing, and release cycles.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Java development role.
• Proficiency in Java and C#.
• Experience with Visual Studio and IntelliJ IDEs.
• Solid knowledge of SQL (DDL, DML, views, procedures).
• Familiarity with GIT, DevOps tools, XML/XSLT, and both SOAP and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• UK residency with full working rights and a commutable distance to Leeds.
