Junior Estimator – Joinery & CAD

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Estimator with a joinery and CAD background to develop into a fully qualified estimator within a specialist bespoke joinery and woodworking manufacturer. You will receive full training and work closely with senior staff and directors from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Read technical drawings, specifications and client information
• Support quotations for bespoke joinery and woodworking projects
• Complete material take‑offs, supplier pricing and labour costing
• Price machine‑shop, bench joinery, finishing and polishing work
• Collaborate with CAD, production, project and senior management teams
• Develop commercial knowledge of margins, variations and final accounts
• Communicate with suppliers, clients and internal teams

Required profile

• Experience as a CAD Technician, CAD Draughtsperson, Technical Designer or Junior Estimator
• Background in joinery, woodworking, furniture, cabinetry, shopfitting or similar
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Exposure to pricing, quotations, take‑offs, BOMs or material schedules
• Motivation to move into estimating, pricing and commercial project work
• Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
