Junior Finance Manager – WIP & Billing (Events Agency)

About the role

VisionFR Ltd is seeking a Junior Finance Manager to handle Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) and billing for a fast‑paced events agency in Central London. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support month‑end close, bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations, and ad‑hoc reporting for senior finance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate client invoices across multiple accounts and reconcile WIP using Paprika software.
• Liaise with Account Management to review client budgets versus actual spend.
• Manage supplier payments for events and process daily bank reconciliations.
• Support payment runs, verify payment details, and file client remittances.
• Review staff and corporate credit‑card expenses, ensuring proper job allocation.
• Conduct credit control activities, monitor client payment status, and flag problem accounts.
• Assist with month‑end reporting, balance‑sheet reconciliations, income forecasting, and debtor analysis.

Required profile

• Experience in high‑volume billing, WIP management and credit control within an events or agency setting.
• Familiarity with Paprika accounting software (highly beneficial).
• Understanding of accrued/deferred income and revenue recognition principles.
• ACCA/CIMA student or AAT qualified.
• Proven ability to work in a rapid, multitasking environment and act as a proactive self‑starter.
