Key Account Manager

About the role

Join ABB's Electrification Distribution (Medium Voltage) Solutions Team to develop and manage account strategies that drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction across key industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of account plans, including executive relationship strategy, coverage plans, and opportunity prioritisation.
• Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to increase ABB’s win rate on key customers and projects, positioning full‑portfolio Medium Voltage Distribution Solutions.
• Build senior relationships with key stakeholders to understand buying drivers and translate insights into differentiated solutions.
• Define and deliver sales and gross‑margin targets for priority accounts, providing pricing insights and proactive responses to competitor activity.
• Navigate multiple tender platforms and collaborate with product and segment sales teams to ensure ABB is the first choice for investment projects.

Required profile

• Engineering (Electrical) background or relevant commercial qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of sales or account‑management experience in a related industry with a proven track record.
• Technical knowledge of medium‑voltage (up to 36 kV) products such as switchgear, protection relays, or compact secondary substations.
• Experience in estimating and tendering, preferably using SAP.
