Key Worker – Early Years (32.5 hrs/week)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Key Worker to join the Early Years team at Castlefield School. The role involves providing safe, high‑quality education and care for a named child or small group within our purpose‑built nursery, working 32.5 hours per week during term time.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver daily activities that meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Support the Room Leader/Lead Teacher in planning and implementing learning experiences.
- Monitor and record each child’s progress and wellbeing.
- Provide individualized support for children with barriers to learning.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment, including indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Participate in INSET days and ongoing CPD opportunities.
Required profile
- Excellent understanding of the EYFS.
- Qualified to at least Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years education, or a commitment to obtain the qualification.
- High standards of spoken and written English.
- Organised, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
- Ability to create creative and enriching learning opportunities.
- Commitment to raising standards and safeguarding children.
