KS2 SEN Teacher – Specialist Primary School

About the role
Join a specialist SEN provision across two rural sites near Taunton, delivering personalised education for KS2 pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. You will work in a calm, well‑resourced environment with small class sizes and high staff‑to‑pupil ratios, often providing 1:1 support.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver inclusive KS2 lessons tailored to a variety of learning styles.
- Create individual learning plans and personalised routes for each pupil.
- Promote independence, social and emotional development.
- Prepare teaching materials and ensure safe use of equipment.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive classroom atmosphere.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting students with SEND.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a SEND or similar setting.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is essential.
Required skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse needs.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
