Land Manager – Residential Development (Up to £40k)

About the role

The Land Manager will join the Land & New Homes team in Summertown, Oxford, to identify and secure residential development opportunities across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. This commercial‑focused position involves sourcing land, conducting high‑level site appraisals and guiding projects from initial opportunity through planning and onward progression.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate potential land parcels for residential development.
• Conduct detailed site appraisals and feasibility analyses.
• Support the progression of opportunities through planning applications and development stages.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, developers and partner organisations.
• Provide trusted advice and negotiate terms to secure land acquisitions.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Highly analytical, detail‑oriented and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Good understanding of the residential property market in Oxfordshire.
• Commitment to a long‑term career in land and property development.

Required skills

• Land acquisition and site appraisal experience.
• Knowledge of residential land development and planning processes.
• Negotiation and estate agency experience.
