Lead Android Developer – Fintech – Up to £110k – Leeds (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing international fintech start‑up that is reshaping payments for small businesses. As Lead Android Developer you will join a team of six engineers, driving the development of a high‑performance Android app that powers the company’s payments platform across Europe, the UK and the US.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and maintenance of the Android application.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and cross‑functional teams to define and deliver new features.
• Optimize performance, ensure responsiveness and uphold high quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best‑practice coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs to improve reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing Android apps with Kotlin.
• Demonstrated leadership or team‑management experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Experience working with modern mobile architectures (MVVM, MVP or MVI).
