Lead Applied AI/ML Engineer – Python, LLM & Agentic AI

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Applied AI/ML Engineer to join the Regulatory, Controls, and Operational Risk Technology (RCORT) team in Glasgow. You will design, develop, and deploy production‑grade Agentic AI services and end‑to‑end AI/ML pipelines that support critical business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to define AI use cases and prioritize work.
• Design, build, and launch state‑of‑the‑art LLM and Generative AI solutions.
• Lead and mentor a team of ML and MLOps engineers.
• Create automated deployment pipelines ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Fine‑tune generative models (e.g., GPT‑5.x) for NLP tasks such as summarisation and text generation.
• Implement real‑time monitoring and performance tracking for deployed models.
• Communicate technical results to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering business‑critical AI/ML models in production environments.
• Strong track record of leading technical teams in an agile setting.
