Lead DevOps Engineer, Cloud Products and Patterns

About the role

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer for its Cloud Products Framework group within the Infrastructure & Cloud team. The role evangelizes and develops cloud product strategies, solutions and best practices, mainly to support machine learning capabilities, and helps developers deploy cloud infrastructure efficiently, securely and at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direction, mentorship and advice on design, development and implementation best practices, and create and implement technical solution designs while resolving issues.
• Support technical roadmaps and develop the strategy and research needed to scale machine learning-related cloud product capabilities on Azure and AWS.
• Design, build and deliver ML models and components for internal use cases, and base infrastructure decisions on ML modelling techniques such as model, data and feature selection, training and validation.
• Evaluate new technologies, propose usage patterns and lead the development of reference code to set a standard.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers, collaborate with other teams and communicate complex technical information clearly.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience leading or developing ML solutions, and hands-on experience with DevOps practices, especially ML model deployment.
• Deep understanding of architecture principles and design methodologies.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, good communication and presentation skills, and experience in Agile/Scrum.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of IaaS concepts and experience with Azure and AWS.
• CI/CD pipelines, code scanning tools, secrets management, Docker and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C# or Python.
• Experience with GitHub or GitLab.
