Learning Support Assistant – Support Students in Witney

About the role

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our school in Witney. You will help students who find it difficult to keep up with their school work, creating a safe and friendly environment where they can thrive academically and personally.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to learners who need extra help with tasks, phonics and reading.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom tidying and managing general behaviour.
• Facilitate a fun, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation.
• Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of children, including those with learning difficulties.

Required profile

• Calm, compassionate and confident with a bubbly personality.
• Proactive and able to take initiative in a classroom setting.
• Willingness to work with vulnerable children and support their personal development.
• Students or graduates pursuing a career in psychology, education or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Ability to manage classroom behaviour and support lesson preparation.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with children and teachers.
• Flexibility to adapt support methods to different learning needs.
