Lecturer – Electrical Installation (Further Education)

About the role
University College Birmingham is seeking a Lecturer in Electrical Installation for its Further Education programmes. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching in a state‑of‑the‑art retrofit centre focused on sustainable construction.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Electrical Installation modules to FE students, both full‑time and part‑time.
- Collaborate with senior lecturers and the Head of Department to maintain world‑class delivery.
- Prepare students for employment or further study by ensuring work‑ready competencies.
- Contribute to the development of the multimillion‑pound retrofit centre.
Required profile
- Experience teaching Electrical Installations in a Further Education setting, or a qualified electrician seeking to train the next generation.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry innovations.
- Understanding of Safeguarding and the PREVENT agenda in further and higher education.
