Lecturer in Computing – Digital & T Levels (Further Education)

About the role
Join the School of Engineering, Digital & Sustainable Construction at University College Birmingham as a Lecturer in Computing – Digital and T Levels (FE). You will deliver inspiring, inclusive teaching across hardware, networking, cybersecurity and emerging technologies, supporting students on BTEC Level 2 ICT, BTEC Level 3 Computing, Digital T Levels and Access to HE Computer Science programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality teaching for BTEC Level 2 Information & Creative Technology, BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Computing, Digital T Levels and Access to HE Computer Science.
- Design and develop engaging blended‑learning resources and assessments.
- Provide academic support and guidance to help students achieve their learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with industry partners and the department to keep curriculum relevant to the digital economy.
Required profile
- Degree in IT, Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- Industry experience or strong technical expertise in computing.
- Ability to design and deliver blended learning without a prior teaching qualification (support provided to obtain one).
- Hands‑on experience with hardware setup, networking and cybersecurity.
