Legal Counsel – Litigation and Disputes

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join a global energy business in London. The role focuses on managing complex cross‑border litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigations, providing commercial‑focused legal support to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage litigation and arbitration matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Handle regulatory and investigation issues, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
• Oversee contentious commercial disputes and coordinate external counsel.
• Develop and implement strategic risk management initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with business units in a fast‑paced international environment.

Required profile

• Strong background in litigation and disputes handling.
• Experience with cross‑border matters and international stakeholders.
• Pragmatic, commercially‑focused approach.
• England & Wales qualification preferred.
• Prior exposure to energy, infrastructure, projects or commodities sectors is beneficial but not essential.
