Legal Counsel – Motorsport (2‑4 PQE)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated commercial lawyer with 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience to join the Motorsport division of our Legal team. You will work on a wide range of commercial agreements supporting FIA Formula 2, Formula 3 and the F1 Academy, as well as premium hospitality and commission‑agent contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate sponsorship, race promotion, team entry, support‑race and hospitality agreements for F2, F3 and F1 Academy.
• Prepare intermediary, consultancy, presenter and ambassador contracts.
• Support the Procurement team on goods‑and‑services agreements, including standard terms and data‑processing addendums.
• Provide data‑protection advice to internal stakeholders and respond to day‑to‑day legal enquiries.
• Assist Marketing, Advertising Sales and Digital teams with ad‑hoc legal advice and agreements.
• Act as the primary legal point of contact for commercial teams managing the above contracts.
• Develop research notes, deliver department‑wide training, and maintain template documents and playbooks.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer trained at a leading City, US or West End law firm.
• 2‑4 years experience as a junior lawyer in a top law firm or in‑house legal team.
• Strong background in commercial contracts, intellectual property and data‑protection workstreams.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and identify key negotiation points.
• Solid knowledge of English law.
