Level 3 Personal Lines Insurance Apprentice

About the role

Howden's Personal Lines division offers an 18-month apprenticeship in personal insurance, based in Tooting and starting in September 2027. You will work in the office at least 4 days a week during the programme and 5 days a week afterwards, and must live within commuting distance. The salary is £23,000 and the role is permanent from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the foundations of insurance, customer service and sales through hands-on experience and structured training.
• Support colleagues in finding suitable insurance solutions for new and existing clients.
• Help achieve sales goals by securing new business and supporting client renewals.
• Prepare professional client correspondence and speak with clients and insurers by email and phone.
• Maintain accurate client records and learn how policy amendments and renewals are handled.

Required profile

• Final year or recent school, sixth form or college leaver; no insurance experience needed.
• Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK and living in the UK permanently for the last 3 years.
• Grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
• Confident communicator, resilient, curious and organised, comfortable with numbers.
