Litigation Paralegal

About the role

The Litigation Paralegal will support the Recoveries department by managing and progressing possession claims through the County Court. Working from our Leeds office, you will ensure proactive and consistent service for clients represented by Flint Bishop.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a personal caseload from initial instruction to obtaining possession or closure.
• Create matters in the case management system and obtain necessary documents from the Land Registry.
• Issue possession proceedings via PCOL and manually, and prepare electronic bundles, witness statements, and agent instructions.
• Process agents' reports, court orders, and enforce possession orders, coordinating with third‑party agents for evictions.
• Manage applications such as suspending warrants, leave to enforce, and reinstating adjourned claims.
• Identify non‑standard cases and alert the Team Manager.
• Respond to borrower inquiries, make outbound calls, and aim to rehabilitate accounts where possible.
• Ensure compliance with FCA MCOB and CPR regulations and maintain service standards.
• Update client systems, assist with reporting, and provide guidance to trainees.

• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated with high enthusiasm and the ability to work flexibly within a team.
• Essential experience working as a paralegal, preferably in a similar debt‑recovery environment.
