Loan Trading Services Associate

About the role

The Loan Trading Services Associate joins the Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) team in Bournemouth, supporting the EMEA Agency Trading desk. You will process loan transfers and trades, respond to inquiries quickly, and help strengthen controls in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process lender‑submitted loan syndication transfer requests, ensuring compliance with the underlying loan credit agreements.
• Capture new external primary and secondary loan trades accurately in agent books and records.
• Analyse credit agreements for assignability language and other transfer provisions.
• Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports to monitor open items and measure risk.
• Assist with ad‑hoc technology enhancements, UAT exercises and non‑BAU projects aimed at automation and control improvement.
• Contribute to wider WLS projects and initiatives.

• Self‑starter attitude with high personal standards and motivation.
• Detail‑oriented analytical mindset.

Required skills

• Familiarity with loan‑processing platforms such as LoanIQ and ClearPar.
• Understanding of the loan trade lifecycle and basic knowledge of loan products or trading operations.
